TDEM Announces The Conference Will Return to the Fort Worth Convention Center in 2026
Following a series of informational training sessions, educational workshops, and networking opportunities at the Texas Emergency Management Conference that occurred last week, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) announced record-setting turnout for the largest emergency management conference in the country.
Over 4,200 attendees from 45 states and 6 countries registered to attend The Conference, representing first responders, emergency managers from local jurisdictions, elected officials, state and federal agencies, tribal communities, private sector partners, and other decision-makers from across the country and beyond.
“The Conference shines a spotlight on the vital work of emergency managers across Texas and the country—offering over 200 workshops, a dynamic exhibit hall, special award recognitions, and a concert to close the week,” said Texas Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd. “As hurricane season arrives and response operations continue in the wake of recent storms, it’s never been more important to foster strong coordination among government agencies, private partners, and the public to safeguard our communities.”
The three-and-a-half-day event is the largest of its kind in the nation and provides an incomparable opportunity to exchange ideas, observe the latest technology, and learn from subject matter experts in the emergency management field. TDEM leadership also recognized several individuals and organizations during the 2025 Texas Emergency Management Awards Luncheon.
Additionally, Chief Kidd and Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker announced that next year's Texas Emergency Management Conference will take place at the Fort Worth Convention Center from May 26 – 29, 2026. Registration information for The Conference 2026 will be announced at a later date.
